Sara Espinoza, a fifth grade teacher in Wimberley, Texas, shares this Storyline from pre-school teacher Tina Karkanen at East Linn Christian Academy in Lebanon, OR.

Sara says,

"I appreciate this Storyboard because it shows the authentic work of preschool students in a way that is meaningful to both them and others in their school community. It is located and used as a part of “carpet lessons”, and the Deep Hope is central – “that my students know God loves them and can share God’s love even when it is hard”.  It has the elements of Storyline, learning targets, student work and reflection.  This particular Storyboard highlights a FLEx in which the preschoolers observed high school students and collected data by circling pictures of the things they did during the day.  When the pre-schoolers saw so much hard work with what seemed to be so little fun, they talked about how they might make a difference and then set to making over 170 cards of encouragement that were personally delivered to each high school student."
