Thor Benson

Thor Benson, PhD is the Dean of Faculty and science teacher at Southwest Christian High School in Chaska, MN. He is also an adjunct faculty in biology at the University of Northwestern, St. Paul. Throughout his teaching experience, Thor has taught every grade from kindergarten to graduate students. Thor loves grappling with the phenomena of good pedagogy and teaching practices that foster a love and joy of learning in the classroom. Being a school designer for TfT has fueled his passion for teaching and learning as he invites students and teachers to reflect and respond to the good life found in God’s story. When not talking about teaching & learning, Thor can be found coaching his high school lacrosse team, mountain biking, or playing a lawn game & spending time with his wife and three children.
