Wendell Schaap

Wendell Schaap is the Director of Learning at Avail Academy in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In addition to that role, he still gets to spend some time in the classroom teaching high school English, which he thoroughly enjoys. The best part of Teaching for Transformation for Wendell is the structure for intentionality it provides for teachers and seeing the kingdom vision come alive in his students, as their desire to live out their place in God’s redemptive Story grows. During times away from work, Wendell enjoys cooking, gardening, and creating beautiful new things from old barn wood.
